In case of hybrid car gasoline engine is put to be smaller than in conventional car making it most efficient.efficiency of engine can be improved by making it light using smaller cylinders and parts as big size engine needs more engine for operation.
piston and other internal componets are big so reuire more energy.thats why hybrid car saves gasoline and indirectly money.
